Knelson's Ghanaian agent Multitech recently won an order to supply a complete alluvial gold recovery system for a Ghana based client. The specification called for a simple, comprehensive, high efficiency processing module to recover alluvial gold from surface rubbles. The P&S know how in this area soon resulted in the identification of the SMS RG150 scrubber as the ideal platform around which to build this plant. The RG thoroughly disintegrates the clay matrix and a Knelson CD20 concentrator efficiently recovers even the fine liberated gold. The process efficiency is enhanced even further by closing the loop with a cyclone on the tailings to ensure maximum gravity effort.
The concentrates are cleaned on a Gemeni bullion table to result in a final smeltable product whilst simultaneously giving a visual indication of daily process returns. No chemistry is required in the process, making for a clean, tidy solution.
The entire plant was fabricated and preassembled before being stripped for shipping in a 40 foot container. Requiring no formal foundations, the unit can likewise be translocated to follow the resource or to tackle an entirely different zone within days. This feature makes for easy economics as the capital can be amortised over several sites, minimizing both risk and re-establishment overhead.
